Starter Question
I'm sure this sounds like a dumb question but I just put my new motor in my 87 F-150. For the wiring for the starter, there should be one wire directly from the battery to the starter, and one wire from the solenoid to the starter correct? If that is correct which post does the wire from the battery go to?

From memory the one cable goes from the positive side of the battery to one side of the solenoid and from the other side of the solenoid the cable goes to the bolt on the starter. Small wire about 16 or 18 gauge from ignition switch goes to the push on connector in the middle of the solenoid.On my truck the positive post is on the fender side and it is connected to the post on the solenoid that is closer to the front of the truck.I dont think it matters though as the solenoid is really a large switch.If you are using the old cables the way there are shaped may give you a clue as to how they were originally connected. I hope I have explained it clear enough .
