Stupid Gatornet !!!

I'm a little embarassed...

My wife says what I'm lacking in street smart, I make up in book smarts. Can't decide if that's a compliment or not.

Anyway, I've installed a gatornet on my truck to where I am able to keep the tailgate on & just let it down to reap the benefits (if there are any) to a tailgate net.

I had the net off for a while & decided to put it back on this am. I had left the mounting brackets on the truck so putting it back on should have been a snap, right? Wrong !

After about 5 mins of trying to decide how the strap connects through the d-buckle, I finally figured it out (again). I went to cinch it up and that's when it happened - SNAP ! The d-buckle snapped off the short end of the net.

So now I have this net with 2 of the 3 straps buckled & one of them going flap, flap, flap in the wind.

I tried to find a website for the manufacturer of the gatornet, but all I could find were retail sites / ebay where I could buy another net.

Does anyone know of a way to attach a d-buckle to the mounting loop WITHOUT having to un-stitch where the loop attaches?

Thanks,
DG

You could go to your local outfitter (REI, etc) and get some type of 1 inch webbing fittings. I don't know the name, but the one that feeds back on itself would probably work fine.
