Has any removed a mirrior off of a bathroom wall?? My wife wants to redo the bathroom which means i need to take down the mirrior look's like it's held on by 4 thing's that look like little clip's.Any help would be great b/4 i try to remove it.It does not seem to be attaced to the wall just by the 4 clip's in the 4 corners. Thank's
Maybe try bending the two top brackets up out of the way, and lift the mirror off the two bottom brackets. Or if the room is wide enough, slide the mirror out the side.
normally its just held on by those 4 brackets. you can losen the bottom two and take off the top two and lift the mirror out. it would help to have two people. i have run across a time or two where construction adhesive was used as well...thats a PITA
I'm a painter by trade, and I've pulled a LOT of mirrors. 99% of those have been put on one of two ways. One, they had the cheap little plastic brackets that are screwed to the wall, leaving the screw exposed. Two, and more common now, are the metal J-clips (top ones are spring-loaded, bottom ones are solid). Removal is simply to lift the mirror enough to pull the bottom of the mirror out of the bottom J-clips, then slowly lower the mirror out of the top ones.
The only time I've seen adhesive on mirrors were on ones in the living rooms of homes where I expected to see the Brady Bunch when I walked in the door...
