Confirming before purchase

Hi guys i have the 66 shorty 300 3 in the tree 2wd. I have found a 78 f100 long box supercab with a 69' 302 and c6 auto combination. This is a direct motor and tranny swap right? Can i also use the cloumn and power steering? how about the rad?. I am going to buy the whole truck it is a good runner but just need to confirm it is a good donor without major mods required. The last thing i need (so the wife tells me is another lawn ornament). BTY Succesfully completed the power disc conversion a couple of weeks back thanks to all your input.

I'm not sure but I think you'll have to change the motor mount pads and tranny crossmember. The 300 radiator should be OK if it has a tranny cooler.

Thumbs up

I believe it's a direct bolt in.

But I'm not sure they put C-6s behind 302 (5.0L) engines. At least I don't recollect that. Usually they were C-4s. The 351Ws came with C-6s in F Series trucks tho. If you happen to have a 69 351W instead of a 302 it's still a bolt in deal, but I know people who would just about kill for a C9TZ version of a 351W engine. The heads alone are worth $1K a pair done around here.
