I have a 2005 FX4 Supercab 5.4 with 7000 miles on the General Ameritrac TRs 255-70R-17. I want to replace them with either Bridgestone Revo 285-17s or Nitto Terra Grappler 295-17s. I drive on muddy roads and fields about 20 days during hunting season and 2 weeks of mountain ice and snow during WVs hunting season. The rest of the year is road miles. Which tire ?

 

The Revos are awesome snow and ice tires. I had them on a Grand Cherokee a while back. But with the muddy roads you described, the Nittos would probably do slightly better. I currently have Toyo open countrys on my truck and they are very similar to Nittos as far as tread pattern. The Revos were great on the Jeep but they balled up immediately in mud. Just my 2 cents.
