Hello guys, hope all your Bronco problems have been resolve and they're all running awsome. I myself have found a little problem, nothing tech. but more of a personal notion. am i the only one that would like to drop my Bronco about 2" or 3" and put some nice (no bling) 18" wheels so that she looks a little more custom. I'm tired of seen all the pick-up trucks all nice and cool, i want a nice pix of anyone that has a customize Bronco. Don't get me wrong I dig the race ones too, but I'm getting a bit older for playing in the dirt, plus it's getting more and more random as there's a lot of construction going around my island so i don't have mud to play with anymore unless i stumble into it so if you do have a nice pix of your bronco or someone u know please post it. as soon as im done with mine i'll update my gallery...c ya guys later
They make wheels up to 27" now. My stepson has 24's with thin rubber (not on a Bronco) and it has the custom look, but they are no good for the dirt. With those wheels, you cant drop it or it would scrap. I think they look nice, but I like the abillity to go offroad and to jump curbs on road. To each his own.
like the people above have said most people i know would rather go up then go down with any truck esp. a bronco... but everyone has there own taste and if you wanna go down with your bronco then by all means go for it but you could put a set of 18 or 20's on yout bronco and it would still have a custom look you dont have to drop it to make it look custom try getting the rims first and look at it before you drop it you might decide to go up with it...
Anything over 18 rides like crap mostly on trucks with a stiff suspension, like broncos.
Less rubber means more vibration transmitted to the truck.
One guy turned his bronco into a lightning from using the guts from his wrecked lightning, he converted the bronco into 2wd and put the springs and wheels on it, I think that in all the truck was dropped about 2" and had the factory 17s from the lightning. It looked sharp.
that's actually what i want; mickey thompson DC-1 from summitracing at 18" no more no less, as the bronco's tend to be on the chubby side, prolly some toyo proxes or pirelli Z's...I'd like to also do the inside of the back roof as it becomes an oven sucking all the heat from the day, and even though my a/c works wonders i think i could help if i do the back part (insulate and cover) and maybe put a big-a.s.s sunroof too for the beach days ahead...
To answer your question, Yes, you might be the only one. Most everyone wants to go the other way. 2-3"(or more) up not down.
You told exactly what i feel about this issue Charger... But i have my reasons, go check my gallery if you want to find out way i consider it a waste. Still Himura, if you feel that´s the way you wanna go i totally support your choice, as long as it doesn´t make driving your truck dangerous (and i bet it won´t). And please, do post some pics. if you customize your truck.
