How to replace the fuel filter??

I am trying to replace the fue filter in my 2001 Ford F-150. I thought it would be somehow the same as my ford aerostar, but this one look opretty diffetent. I took apart the holders of the hoses that go to the filter, but as I am trying to pull it out it feels so strong, Do I need a special tool or something?

Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated

Yes you need a tool you can get one at any autoparts store you have to push in on the filter on one side at a time its real easy when you have the tool. Good luck.
