When I picked up the chassis and cab in Modesto, the guy had a friend standing there that just happened to have sold a motor home last week and wanted to sell his tow dolly ---
long story short, I bought it and used it to bring home my chassis. It has brakes, but they need a master cylinder. Other than that the unit worked great - Felt good on the highway, even chanced going on 99. Mostly ran 55, but had to watch as the unit wanted to run faster - hit 65 a time or two.
Anyway, it is available to any member who needs to tow something - you just need a hitch with a 2 inch ball. If you got something interesting going on, I might even bring it to you.
I was within a few miles of your house - sure would have made Liz happy had I dropped my stuff in your back yard - she is not talking to me today!
I will never understand why some people like to see a wagon wheel or an old seeder or some other rusty steel farm appartus in the front flowerbeds and yet object to a good looking cab parked along side the house!
At least it was worth a shot. I think I can borrow a trailer from a co worker's brother. It's to tow a car (90-something Tracer)home that someone is giving me for working on their car. Then, I'll be getting first hand experience rebuilding a transaxle.
