i got a 1994 ranger..... runs fine i guess but on random occasions its wont start and i have to reset the fuel pump thingy under the passanger side dash for it to run.....
any suggestions on what it may be?
thats the best i can describe
The "fuel pump thingy" is the inertia switch that cuts power to the fuel pump in case of an accident. It sounds like it is tripping too easily, the only thing you can do is replace it.
so then i would have to replace the fuel pump or that relay under the passenger side??
i allready got to replace my sending unit because my gas gauge doesnt work and it sucks because im reading the odemeter and yea.... anyways
so would it be good just to replace the fuel pump and the relay?
