I'm going to put headders on my 351W in my 72 Ranger and was thinking about buying some of those copper gaskets. Has anyone used them? Are they as good as they claim?
I have them on my truck, and have had to take the right side down twice for starter replacement. I put the gasket back in there and tightened it up. So far so good.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
I used copper ones from SCE (I think). They are about 1 year old on stock manifolds and no problems. I like to hear that they can be re-used. At their cost...I would have tried it too!
72,
I've got a technique I've used for years with great success. Double your gaskets. That is, use a factory gasket, shiny side towards block and a Mr. Gasket header gasket against the header. I've never had a problem or a leak and I've reused them also.
