Smile vehicle identification issues...

hey all.. I'm having issues in properly identifying my trucks actual year model. The title reads 1972... and so does the sticker on the cab/door jamb. My problem is, it has a 352..which was only offered for the f100 in 67. I have a 67 front grille, and all of the interior would let me assume its a 67. The only thing about the truck that says 72 besides the sticker and title...is the bed...it has the side marker lights. oh, and the vin is engine code Y, which either means 352, or 360 according to what i've read. If it's truely a 67, I'd like to get the title corrected. Any help would be appreciated.

Your vin number is stamped on the top of the frame rail - on my 72 it is on the right side a couple of inches to the cab side of the core support bolts. You can decode that to find out what it is. - or what the frame started life as.

If the vin on the frame does not match the vin on the title, you got problems.
