I have a Roll N Lock and love it. It came wiith the truck when I bought it and I am glad it did. It's great to leave things in the bed and be able to lock them up.

I got the Perigon. Lockable and aluminum. If I didn't have the V tailgate for my 5th wheel, it wouldn't get ANY water inside. Nice to be able to roll it back just a little to put taller stuff in the truck. Look at it at peragon.com

Not that it applies to hard retractables, but I'm with Muktown... I love my access roll up. 400 bucks, real good investment. I don't have any experience with them, but I've heard good things about retrax.

I have the Pace Edwards Jackrabbit & it seems to work as well as can be expected. It looks good & conceals any cargo in the bed. It can be locked but could be broken into if anyone wanted to bother. It cost $1,000 installed. The hard cover Jackrabbit was $500 more. I priced a retrax at $1,200.

For what I use a cover for the "Fold-A-Cover" is the one I like best. Easy to install & remove if you need to (one man job, 10 min.) It locks locks tailgate too. Is weather resistant ( I have had snow manage to blow in during a REALLY bad storm) . It is strong enough that you can carry things ON it or even use it as a platform & stand on it. Opens from the front or back. Can travel open. And it sounds cheaper then most hard covers.

I have the Jackrabbit. Havent had any problems with it, I would recommend it to anyone that wants to still be able to use there bed in a moments notice. Well worth the money. Dont remember how much I paid for it, thats either old age or not wanting to remember. Probally a little of both, had it for about a year.

I have the 'Sportsmaster' soft roll-up. Got it about four years ago. I'm not unhappy with it, but it has no provision to stay partially rolled down/up when I want to cover the forward part of the bed when I'm hooked up to my 5th and want something covered.

I have the Retrax - About $800 for a long bed. Love it. Very secure and locks in any position.

Had the Retrax on my last truck (F150 Supercrew), cover warped in the summer heat and also rattled, functionality was great and customer service from Retrax was good, but my next one won't be a Retrax...
