How do I remove the brake line mount that is on the 8.8 axle housing? I am referencing the mount that splits the driver and passenger side drum brake lines. Is it a crimp? Does it screw in?
I would like to remove this so I can blast, paint, and have a clean new diff.
There is a stud that is hollow that a rubber hose attaches to that vents the differential. You unscrew the stud which holds down what I believe is a brass block which is part of a rubber brake hose. The right and left brake lines screw into the brass block.
