From the detnews article and even reading the Edmunds site, it "appears" that one could get the rebate + fuel card + 0% finance for 72 months. Is that really how it is or is that just smoke and mirrors? But how do you come up with $13,000 in incentives if that is untrue??

They're incorrect- it's rebate or 0% and gas card. Incentives don't total anywhere near $13,000- subtract the one and you're closer.

Looking at Ford.com, incentives/rebates, looks like the gas cards aren 't available to residents of TX or OK?

Bad data in news media,

I just read an article on the Yahoo financial page talking about the summer incentives heating up, it also referred to the 0% + gas card + 4k rebates for Ford.

I know that isn't correct, but who at Ford is putting out the bad data that is being spread around?? These news outlets have to be getting their story from somewhere, no??

I just wish it were true, maybe I could force myself into buying a new gas gulping SUV or Super duty

The Associated Press ran a story on 5/31 with the inaccurate rebate information. But they issued a correction the next day which said the incorrect information was due to an error in the press release from Ford. Both stories were from AP and made their way to not only Yahoo but a variety of news organizations.

The press release that's up there now is correct. There's no way to know if it was edited by Ford though.
