I feel for ya man, I had to sell my '69 Firebird many, many years ago, in a situation similar to yours. My Dad was self employed and had to go in for a quad-bypass, he was not going to be able to work for two months...it was either sell the 'Bird for the family, or who knows what.
I regretted selling it (I was 19 or 20 at the time), but looking back I feel I made the right choice.
