Source needed - tiny plastic lens covers in dash

I am looking for a source for a set of those tiny cheap little pieces of colored plastic that cover the various indicator lights in the dash - turn signals, high beams, seat belts, brake warning light....

They don't seem very solidly made and the ones in my '86 are cracking and unsightful. It apprears they have been super glued in place several times already by PO's. I have checked both NPD and LMC truck catalogs and didn't see them.

Anyone know of a source for these things.

Many thanks!

A junkyard maybe? I know I got the dash area, and it had them still in it.

You can only get them new by buying the entire instrument cluster bezel.

Your best bet is the wrecking yard.

----

Mine are plastic welded into position by me. Soldering iron, and a steady hand.

Just some minor things to know about the instrumnet cluster bezels, if you are a perfectionist...

1980 F-series, The Turn Signal, and the brake warning, fasten belt lights are inverted. The lenses look different than the 1982 to 1986 as well. Arrows are longer, and High beam indicator is all blue with black high beam letters, 4x4 indicator is all amber with black letters etc...

1981 F-series, Although they are in the same positions as the 1982 to 1986, the lenses look like the ones on the 1980.

1982 to 1986, same as 1981 except, high beam indicator is black, with blue see through letters, 4x4 indicator is black with amber see through letters, etc...

----

This is not counting the diesel variants.

----
You can also get these lenses out of select 1980 to 1999 F-series trucks. But the same rules apply, and there were some changes made after 1987 as well.

I have purchased new clear bulbs and stained them. Go to the local craft store and buy glass stain in small jars and dip the bulbs as many times to coat them to the color you need!
OR do a search on the net for LED lights and most likely you bulbs will be listed in several colors!

I have done both with success!
