Automatic to Manual conversion?
Hey, ive got a 1986 Ford F-150 5.0 carbed and it has an AOD tranny....my question is could i put a 4 speed w/overdrive transmission from like a 1988 f-150 w/302? I would greatly appreciate the help. Thanks

I'm in the process of doing the same thing. I'm using a zf 5 speed from a 90 f-350. You will need clutch pedal assembly from your year of truck ( I think 80-86 will work). Clutch master cylinder hydraulic line and clutch lever to match tranny. You will need to remove the clutch lever from the 86 assembly and replace it with the new one , they are slightly different. As far as the tranny crossmember is concerned it may need to be moved. Any ford 80 to mid 90 transfer case should bolt up but linkages may need mods. Driveshafts will probably need mods
