So the pistons arrived today and they have the locks with them..but they look like someone made them from clothes hanger ?? Toss em and buy the normal lock clips, or use them ?
I would opt to just grab new end locks but the width on these sent seems excessive in comarison to the ones on the old pistons..maybe it would lead to too much end play ?? thats my concern anyhow..
that is a cheapo looking retainer, I think I would replace them..they maybe alright for a stock rebuild..make sure the replacements are the same thickness, I guess all the aftermarket pistons have valve reliefs, I didn't think the stock 352s had them, but its been to many beers ago since I had one apart
Think I will get the modern locks...
I can bring the pieces up when it gets back from honing the block to the pistons. Then we could start refreshing your memory HAHA
The old pistons where flat top but I cant seem to locate those now.. I aint worried about it, she aint for spinning my wheels off, I was 14 23 years ago..I have to pay for everything these days, even tickets.. I just want this old girl to mosey on down the road looking pretty as can be towing her sister for a sunny day of fishing..
