F100 ID help
was wondering if anyone could help us out with the codes here...
here are the numbers on the engine
head # 7E17
block # BC C6AE-6015-D
piston rod # C5AE-A on every piston,,
inside the piston there is the #115790
On top of the pistons the is #60 lightly stamp on them,
do you think that the engine is bored over? The piston measures 4" across, so I dont know if it is bored or not...

Is this a V8? Is the motor out of a truck and do you have the truck? If so, what is the VIN from the door tag. I'm leaning towards a 360, but you would need to know precisely what the piston size is. You are correct in thinking it is .060 over bore. What is the bore in the block, if 4.11, you would be on the right track. If you look at the heads, do the plug holes face toward the center (// \\)? Just trying to get a little more info to work with...
