1983 F-150 with Variable Venturi set-up with (I think) Duraspark III ignition. (The distributor did not have any vacuum advance.)
With some help from members on this forum I ordered a new distributor and control module (thanks again) and changed it to a Duraspark II with a Holley 2300 carb.
When comparing the new distributor with the old I notice that the shaft below the gear is slightly shorter on the new one.
When it is installed it does engage with the oil pump shaft, but I was wondering if this is going to be a problem in the future? And if so what needs to be done to correct this?
