Need some quick help before I have it towed to the stealership!
Driving around, noticed the battery gauge getting lower. Stayed that way for a couple of days and then went far left and left me stranded today once the batteries were drained. Replaced the alternator, thought that would be the easy fix. Has a noticable draw on the batteries when running. Still stranded and am fixing to have it towed in tommorrow. Have checked connections, maxi fuses etc... I have searched the forums and haven't seen anything that I haven't checked yet. Batteries were good until maybe yesterday.. what am I missing?
I also just replaced the Cam Position Sensor a week ago. Coincidence?
Could be a dead cell in one of your batteries, this would drain both batteries. Charge it up, drive to NAPA, Auto zone, Advanced etc. have them check your charging system and load test your batteries. If you cannot drive your truck, take the batteries and alternator out and take them to be checked. This will cost you nothing but time, a dealer will charge. Then you know if it is batteries, alternator or your electrical system. Good Luck.
