how loud will it be
hello for an exhaust system on my 59 im thinking headers, short striaghtpipe,with a set of purple hornies that dump right behind the cab. i will be running a 292(it's not rebuilt yet), but how loud will this be, i want it fairly loud it is my highschool truck after all, but i don't want it so loud that i rattles the windows, i also want a thoaty rumble sound, has any one ran purple hornies on a 292 how did it sound, okay my rambling is done

Dumping under teh cab, it will rattle the windows, the dash, your fillings and everything else. Not to mention giving you carbon monoxide poisoning. At least run pipes out in front of the rear tires. Only a couple of more feet, and it'll make things a lot more pleasant in the cab.

LOUD! LOL, they can scream pretty good. How built is the engine? Usually the best thing to do is stick to about 2.25"exhaust and put it out in front of the wheels so the system isn't under the truck where it will drive you completely insane.
