see Headers By Ed, lot of great info, and kits.. I bought U & J bends and collectors from Schoenfeld, and flanges from EBAY.
I had them coated in and out by HPC
See my headers in my gallery for my 460 in my 55 F100. 1-7/8 to a 3.5 in collector.
I spent about $400 total, including the coating, for a set of custom long tube headers.. nearest I could get was $950, and I had to take the truck to them, (which didn't move at the time).. took me 6 months.. 4 months to make them, and 2 months to get them coated (try not to send them in JUST before the racing season crush!!)..
