i really want to up my horses, i got a 04 f150 ext. 5.4, what mods would u guys put on or already have on urs. and im complitly stock. im talking every thing from intake to chip. no supercharger, kinda of a dumb thread, but i really dont know what i can do make it quick without superchargering it. thanks for ur help
Your best money spent will be the Edge Evolution tuner part# EEF2400. we have sold hundreds of them, and everyone loves them. We carry superchips as well, and havent sold to many of them for the F150 since the new edge system came out. Best HP rating and by far the most options. I would then go with an exhaust and Intake if so desired.
OK lets break it down you need a tuner(DiabloSport,SCTor Edge),Intake(Airforce1,Airaid and Volant) and exhaust(Magnaflow or AeroTurbine) just to start off with. All are in order of HP.. tuner's are all about the same except you can custom dyno tune The Diablo and SCT and get that extra HP..Intake's are not all equal AF1 gets the most RWHP @ 25 and Airaid is the safest and you get 20 RWHP,and volant is the quietest and you get 18 RWHP...Exhaust Magnaflow is quiet and you gain hp same with the Aeroturbine and you wont get the drone..you will with the others
I am running DiabloSport with custom tune..4.56 gears..Airaid CAI and AeroTurbine Exhaust..This also my 3rd new body style F-150 and have moded all of them and used almost every item listed
Flowmaster also has nice systems, True-Flow has the best filter media in my opinion, and Edge is the tuner to have hands down unless you have forced induction mods or big internal mods. No other off the shelf tuner has the power and features of the edge, the edge has no competition. For custom tunes the SCT Xcal2 is the only real choice, the Xcal2 Strategy Flash (Off the shelf) unit for the Triton engines is no where near the Edge. There are also the KN FIPK intakes that are very good. There are many choices, not just the couple listed by us posters.....
EDGE EDGE EDGE! Then pop for the FRAMBoost CAI and a Magnaflow exhaust. Huge improvements over stock horsepower and torque. These three together will satisfy your horsepower crave without having to spend the huge money for a SC.
Larry dont forget the Airforce one intakes. We should be dealers on these in the next week. They are a great product and very affordable. They look just like the AEM Brute Force Intakes.
these are all good mods. they are all easy to install and tune. i know you said no sc, but i'm saving up for one. i just like the idea of a charged truck. i wont be satified untell i get one.
lol thats awsome. The Roush chargers and Powerdyne chargers have been very popular for us, and both companies will bend over backwards for the customer. I guess for that kind of money they better!

its easier to give $5500 when the company is behind you. its easy to get behind your product if you charge enough for it. i'd rather pay alittle more and get good support than save some money. i've found in the long run you end up paying more. wipple and vortec are also good companies. i have used both in mustangs. does vortec make a root style sc?
Then of course we have them direct from Ford Motorsports LINK
The laast 3 we can get, but I would have to say the Roush system is the most popular for the F150's. The Powerdyne would be second, and most have said that the instalation was fairly easy. I couldnt tell you the advantages or disadvantages of the two styles, but all 3 are very good quality.
