has anyone?

has anyone installed an air adjustable shock like the munroe max air, or the gabriel highjackers onto a 2001 ford 1/2 ton. i'm having a hard time finding adjustable shocks for my 01 screw. i want the shocks to help lift the rear when im towing our trailer. but i don't want to stiffen the ride without the trailer. so i want an adjustable shock.
thanks

Shocks dont add lift. Springs add lift. Airbags help with load handling. Adjustable shocks will soften or stiffen a ride. You may try helper springs.

air adjustable shocks can add over 1000lbs of extra load handling. munroe makes a shock for the 2wd but not for the 4wd. there are other manufactures out there but i can't seem to find a pair for the 4wd 01 f150.

Matt- I know we didn't have them on a truck, but my mustang had Gabriel Highjackers in the rear. These ones there was a air stem in the trunk and you just fill 'er up. It would lift it up. Of course those were probably purchased in the 70's, so maybe they've changed.

no they haven't changed. when a truck or what ever is loaded the added air pressure in the shocks will lift the rear and help with the ride. even so i still can't find any that will do the trick. with the exception of adjustable air bags everything else will stiffen the un-loaded ride. air bags may be my only solution but id rather use a shock set up if i can. there are shocks for the 2wd but their travel is 1 inch less than the 4wd ones. i wonder why there doesen't seen to be any for this aplication when its easy to find ones for older and newer models.
