I recently puchased a new acuator for my 1999 Explorer EB's heater and when I plugged it in nothing happened. I was wondering if there is a fuse other than the one in the fuse box on the driver side dash board? The old acuator started to click whenever the truck was running, so thats why I am replacing it.
What you need to do is put the system in self test mode. You do this by pressing & holding 2 of the climate control buttons & the dash display will show any trouble codes, including actuator trouble codes.
Problem is you need to know which buttons to press & hold.
Maybe one of the other guys can tell you this. Or see if a Ford dealer will tell you how to do this.
