Red Flashing light?

Red Flashing light?
I have been wondering what this is ever since I bought my truck from the owner.
There is a red flashing light on the inside of my truck on the dashboard. You can see it from looking outside. It sits between the windshield wipers.
Can anyone tell me what it is.
I own a 2004 Ford Explorer EB.
Also does anyone know if the pullout cover for the back of the truck is extra or if it comes with the truck as a standard. I don't have it in my truck. I have looked on the orginal sticker to see if I could find anything like that but I can't find it on the sticker.
I am going to be calling the guy whom I bought the truck from to see if he got it with the truck. If not then I am going to have to buy one.
