Angry tires and LED lightbars

okay i just wanted to say that in mandeville, louisiana, P255/65R17 tires costs between $189.00 to $225.00 why is the #1 selling pickup have rare a$$ rims so tires are so damn expensive!!

also ANY LED LIGHTBAR is a waste of money. because the heat from the sun, warms up the bed and tailgate so it warps the plastic, so your lights sag down on the sides and it looks crappy. also the heat melts the wire for the light so some of the LEDs don't come on. and it leaves gaps!!!

Sorry to hear about your light bar problem. I have no problem with mine. And it gets mighty hot here in florida, and I have a dark color truck.

As for the tires...

Have you thought about checking out of town or on line for tires?? Sears shows tires in that size for around 150.00 each.

BJ's (is like Sam's or Costco) has that size for 140.00 per tire.

Check SAMS in Slidell. They may have better prices.

Try pricing some 18's or 20's, you'll feel better about your 17's.

Also remember that in this area, wages are up and in the US gas prices are up. You'll be paying more for everything for a long time, possibly forever.

Check SAMS and online places like tire rack and discount tire.

I'll see how my lightbar works out.

You might also look at www.tiresavings.com. I don't know anything about this company but they have good prices. Currently showing a Kumho Road Venture AT KL-78 in 255/65R17 for $90 each. Shipping to my location in East Texas is less than $30 per tire.

Like I said, I don't know anything about them, assuming they are reputable, the prices would be hard to beat.

well i just wanted to say that even $140 is to0 high of an amount for 1 tire. i plan on getting a set of 20s put on my truck, and they run $200 a pop for tires, i would rather spend the money on a tires for a aftermarket rim instead of a stock rim.

i went to firestone (where i normally go for all my tire needs) and ask them a price for a new tire and a spare rim swap, the quoted me at $298.95. i told him they have lost my business for good. and what i did as far as a tire, i pluged it and aired it back up. there is a small groove in the side wall where i was riding on it wile it was low, but i have been on it for two weeks and put 750 to 800 miles on it pulling a trailer. so i think it will hold up.

That is absolute robbery. They might as well have pulled a gun on you...

For tires online another reputable place is www.tirerack.com

I used them once about 2 years ago and they had good prices and would drop ship anywhere I needed them to.
