I just got a used set of 33x12.50r15s on 15x10s for my Bronco replacing the 32x11.50r15s on 15x7s.
My Problem is, since I put the new stuff on it doesn't perform like it did with the smaller stuff. Why is this? my pressure is correct all the way around.
I wouldn't think that the small size difference would affect the performance of the truck overall.
You may need to switch out your Rear end and front end gears to match what you had with the smaller tires.
Larger tires are the equivalent of higher gear ratios, if I remember rightly.
What engine size, and gear ratios are you running?
I can go on forever on why I love high gear ratios, cause of gas mileage, but they can cause problems in the wrong applications. If the truck is lifted, and oversize tires are added for instance.
I could also just be down to the larger surface area on the new tires as well, if applicable. Not too familiar with those tire sizes.
its not so much the inch taller but prob thewider contact also what kind of tires did you have before and now if they were different brands they may have much different weights to them also he wider rims weigh more so now to get them rolling is much more work
i would think then that its not the new tires as much as maybe weather conditions or something with the motor. i would try it for a few days and see if it changes or someone else might have a better answer for ya
you'll probably get used to the difference and not notice anymore. Kinda like wearing a new pair of work boots. The "new 1/4" of tread on the heel makes ya walk different for a couple days.
