Oh yeah, I was worried it might be too big! Anyone else know of any older cheaper yard type tractors?

Uh, yeah. I was wondering what was up with you Pyro., but I figured you 'must' know what you were talking about.
It actually has a very small turning radius, but a yard tractor it AINT!

That's OK. Some people just have no taste!
Anyway, I talked to the Father-in-law last night and he's gonna take it. Now i'm looking for more attachements for the DB. I found a tandem disc and a blade. The disc I can have, the blade, I'm gonna trade for. I'll have to do the seals on the loader, but other than that, the little tractor's in pretty good shape.

I`m not surprised your Father-in-law is taking your MF, that was good price. As for a blade sometimes one comes up at an auction at a decent price.
The only JD I could ever afford was my 755, most JD`s are too much $$$$.

John Deere, I hate em. Overpriced and underpowered. I drove a old 2 cyl. for a while, and as the old saying goes You never know when it's running good cause it always sounds like crap.

Well we have eighties john deers at the farm, and overpriced they may be, underpowered, never. The ol 8650 of ours is amazing for power. It does go through the fuel though. Another plus we have found about johnnies, is they dont go to the shop as often. We had an early eighties case, I forget the model number, and that thing was always in the shop. Besides regular maintenence, our greens havent seen the shop, yet So the overpriced part is paying off, for us anyways!

Hey Preppy
I've got a 316 with a mower and hydraulic tiller on it up for sale. No loader or anything just a yard/garden tractor and its Green. Might be to small for what you are after.
Have a Good one

The only problems with JD's is the loosy torque curve and the fuel consumption. They do however have very nice cabs and good visibility and very dependable tractors. Not to many around here though mostly Case IH.

Might be interested, I was kind of looking for one with a loader on it, but it all depends. I am doing more browsing now then anything, since I wont really need it till later on in the summer anyways but I will keep you in mind.
