Wiring harness question

I have an 86 F-350, 6.9, manual tranny with a/c. The wiring harness has been patched to death, and the fuse box has places where it has melted from overloads. I have found another truck, that is the same, but doesn't have a/c. My question is, with that wiring harness have all of the connections needed to plug my a/c wires into? Will the fuse box be set up for it, too?

The ones I have tried in the past were not universal, meaning certain options certain wireing harnesses. But if its the same truck same year it shouldn't be too hard to pick the a-c circuit out of the old harness and add it in. The fuse block will have the space for the a-c fuse but will probably not have the wire that supplies the curcuit. That would be too easy. Good luck

Hemiyota, your looking at a big job! To rip out your old wiring harness and replace it with a new one...well lets just say, I hope you have lots & lots of time...I installed a/c in my 84 last year, the donor truck was non IDI. I isolated the a/c wiring from the donor harness and installed into my fuse box and thru the firewall to the fan, sounds simple right, well your going to do just the opposite...if you have done this type of work before or your up to the challenge, go for it...just so you know, when you pull out your old harness and isolate the a/c wiring, the entire harness will need to be pulled apart, it can be done but its not an easy job. lol...I dont want discourage you but I want you to know what your up against.

Yeah, I know it's a hellava job, but the old harness was just too far gone. Crimp connectors everywhere, melted wire across the main section that crosses over the dash, burnt connectors, very brittle fuse box with some burnt areas. This is a tow truck and the previous owner had wired all kinds of things in, and apparently overloaded some circuits. I am replacing the entire dash anyway because I'm changing the interior color to black. Dash is out and I've already pulled the a/c wires from the harness, just in case the donor doesn't have them. The wiring in the engine compartment won't be too bad to get to, because I have the entire front end off to replace the sheetmetal with good pieces with no previous bodywork.
I haven't had any luck finding a diesel truck with manual trans and a/c. Found three with air and their all automatics. So I figured the one I just found without air would be the best donor.
