truck won't start

This morning I went out to start my truck to let it warm up since it was only 8 degrees. When I tried to start it, it spun a couple of times like usual then it started turning real slow. since it was so cold I thought it might be my battery so I hooked the charger up to it and it was almost dead so I left it charging till I got home from school. The battery is fully charged except now it will only turn a couple of times and it is real slow then it just quits turning. Does anyone know what would make it do this?

I'd say the battery is at the end of it's
life, either that, or you need better cabling...

It has new cables and an almost new battery.

Maybe get a load test done on the battery and check every connection. How old is the starter?

truck won't start

I just pulled the starter today and the gear inside the starter has some teeth broke off which is making it were it won't spin my engine. So I need a new starter.
