Hans, The chrome goes in first before installing in the truck, and it is a dry fit, no caulking needed.

I just got my windshield rubber from Dennis Carpenter and it looks great. I plan to get my truck in Gothenburg next week and begin to work a little on her. Is there anything special I should think about when replacing the windshield and rubber? Apart from what John told about the chrome molding. This might be an easy thing to do but I just want to be sure not missing anything. / Hans

Hans, The gasket is dry fit, meaning no sealers. FBpete wrote a nice article recently on installing with 3/16" rope. It take two people and I would pay to get mine put in.

Thumbs up

Thanks John - nice to have you back. I think I will take your advise and let a professional do it. I am very excited to get my new truck back home. I will take some pics and send to the original owner. He is 78 now and I have know him since ´93. / Hans
