Need A Lift
Thinkin about putttin a lift on my 89 F150 4x4, had a thought but not sure if it would work. If i put say a 4" suspension lift from rough country in and a 2-3" coil spacer set would that give me 6-7" of lift or is this a waste of time and money.

Just get a 6" suspension lift...they have the provisions to put the axle pivot point lower (needed for 6" instead of 4" lift) so that the suspension geometry and angles are not too bad for it to be aligned more easily.

go with a 6inch suspension lift, and spend the extra money on skyjacker. I promise you will not be disapointed. I have 6inch skyjacker easy ride on mine and the buddy has rough country on his. same set up both 6inchs with 35's and mine rides like a town car compared to his buck board. just my .02

what i would do is go to a junk yard find 2 rear leaf springs with 5 leafs that are in good shape and install them, then get a 3" body lift and a 2" coil spacers put the in and ull be able to put 35s under your FORD.

if i was you which i'm not but from my experience i would install a solid axle from a 1970's f 150 at the same time and get a lift kit for a 79 f150.I think you would be much happier in the long run and an axle should be easy to find.
