01 x 4x4 psd pulling 10k tt toy box what size tires do i need and what brand? i have 295-75-16 now want high mileage quiet tires
If you're going to be towing 10K loads, I'd think you'd need to drop down to the stock tire size 265/75/16 load range E. You could also go to 285s in the BFG All Terrains, they're now available in "E"s. The Michelin LTX M/S is one of the best tires out there for towing heavy loads as well as being quiet on the road. The same also applies to the Bridgestone Dueler REVO's. (both in stock tire size) If you want to maintain an off-road tread and a bigger tire size, I'd stick to the BFG all terrains in the 285 size.
td you know the heat we get down here! i have looked at the bfg's and the load rating is okay but the heat rating bites bad about equal to a general the weight and the heat are a tires biggest enemy. i love to get some the same goodies that are on your x but i think something going on with mine on fuel mpg and just can track it down! i really don't want to go thru every mod and be in same spot
