another question... instrument panel...

I have seen pics on here in the gallery of instrument panels of the 67-72 f100 series and i am wondering hwo they get theres to look so good. i know how to take the whole thing apart, but what type of paint would i use to paint it and what parts what color. your suggestions about this would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I would imagine you could use any paint that would match up. Model paint would work as would any enamel. I have done several instrument panels on old airplanes. We just took our time. We hand painted the lil stuff and air brushed the larger stuff. Masking tape and a sharp Exacto knife are a must. Take yur time. I have used toothpaste on the plastic cover to get minor sratches off. Pepsodent or any whitening toothpaste works best. Rinse well so it doesnt get a white film on it afterwords.

what I use for the clear plastic is "Meguiars mirror glaze professional clear plastic polish" works good for me. It also works good on tail/signal lite lenes.
