I have a 65 250 that needs a heater core. The local parts store does not have any listings for 1965.I know they were interchangable with later years of Fords.Any idea what year core will fit my truck?Thanx,
Joe
i have the old heater core out of my 65 f100,cleaned it up,painted it flat black, looks new, worked great when i took it out,i have no idea what it is worth, was thinking of putting it on ebay real soon with a ton of other parts from the same truck, lots of great pieces in good shape that i will not be reusing as i prostreet this truck.hope to have all pieces on ebay sometime this weekend.
Go and pick one up with a Lifetime Warranty at your local AutoZone, Advance Auto, or whatever poorly managed (corporate level), out of the box, three ring circus excuse for an auto parts store that has cornered your local market and shut down the private owned parts stores.
Sorry for the rant but sometimes I get sick of these modern parts stores. The ever fewer people they have on staff are more and more becoming all too typical "bodies" instead of brains. They are so tied up catoring to the "do it for me" crowd, or running between a constantly ringing phone and a cash register that they wouldnt have time to get into a catalog (whats that?) or technical manual (forget that!) if they knew how. I feel sorry for these folks sometimes, you can see that they are doing the best they can with the tools and training(?) they are given so I hate it when some idiot starts cussing or complaining while waiting in line. Maybe thats why they have started hiring 19 year old hotties to stand behind the counter, or better yet change YOUR battery.
