Ok guys I'm at a loss here.... my truck is a real PITA to drive it feels like a wheel is gonna fall of.....but not all the time. Only when goin around a long right hand corner it will start to vibrate/wobble like a wheel is about to fall off. And sometimes going straight it will feel like there is a pulse in the steering wheel back and forth about an inch or less. Have replaced upper and lower ball joints both sides, right wheel bearing, right axle joint. I have pryed and shook the livin $h1t out of everything and cant find anything loose and all the lugs are tight too before someone asks. The left wheel bearing is tight as a drum but almost seems too tight like theres a small spot that it sometimes drags. Think I should bite the bullet and replace and see if it fixes the problem? Kinda hate to keep throwing parts at it especially a WB since they aint cheap! Anyone got any ideas.
I have just started having the same problem. I am in a 97 F250 Hd psd. Havent done anything yet accecpt jack up the foront end and wobble the tires. it all feels pretty good. The problem started after driving in 4H for about six miles then taking it out of 4wd and driving for a bout 20 mi. I noticed it driving about 50 mph and then decelerating. Got the wobble. Since then have driven about 40mi to get it to do it again. It will do it in a 50-60mph light turn, or when hitting a small bump. Like going over Railroad tracks. But it seems to always be in the 50mph or higher area. I think I will start with new front tires, they are low on tread but dont look that bad.
I also did feel the slightest bit of play in the front driver side wheel but only when pulling on the top of the tire, not side to side. ??????????????? Help.
I dont think it a bent rim. LIke I said I am going to try tires tomorrow. I dont think I mentioned that when it starts the shaking feeling I stuck my head out the window and it looks like it is more of a bounce than a wobble.
I know this sounds stupid, so don't bite my head off, but is it 4wd? Is it not releasing from 4wd? That sounds like classic 4wd front steering shimmy. My Jeep will do the same thing in 4wd, more so to the right than the left due to the length of the axles on each side I'm assuming. I know your probably not driving it around in 4wd but maybe it's not releasing? I don't know, just taking a shot in the dark. Can you safely jack it up on 4 stands or on a lift and see if you have power to the front wheels?

It may be a tire seperation not guaranty but could be. Hope you get it fixed.
I went last night and had two new tires put on the front. The old ones were pretty worn. And the problem seems to have gone away. I am going to put new shocks on also. I think it was a combo of old worn tires and worn shocks. I will let you know if it acts up again, but I think we goter dun. Thanks for all the help.
