My radiator leaks pretty bad through the bottom left part. Its not the hose. How hard is it to take the radiator out then put putty on the hole. Would i even have to take the thing out? thanks
Removing the rad is easy, but I think the problem you will run into trying to putty up the hole is pressure and corrosion. It will have to be perfectly clean for the putty to stick, second of all it may have more rot than you think. Third is the heat and pressure. If you somehow get by the corrosion and get something solid to stick the putty to, the pressure build up will cause it to leak. Best off to get a new rad or have a shop redo that section of the tank and or core.

Take your index finger and run it over a line of vanes of the rad.
If they bend over fairly *easily* it means they are on their last legs and the rad needs to be replaced or the very least,re-built.
Spending money on what you're talking about(putty won't work btw)
is throwing good money after bad.

I have used JB weld on a couple of radiators. It has worked great on every hole I have patched. It is supposed to be able to withstand up to 300 degrees.
