Hi I am trying to get some information on a 61 unibody that we are auctoning on thursday and i have a few things in cant find. First is the paint code it is T and i cant find the colors as it is two tone. Second is my consecutive unit number is 320950 assembled in Kansas City MO but the acording to my info the number doesnt match the year 1961 but August of 1962. Last question is does anyone know how many unibodys were made that year. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

 

61 all of Them
62 most of Them
63 not all of Them

I have yet to find reliable production numbers for integral body trucks. Ford placed the eggs in that single basket for 61 just like the edsel a few years earlier. I have read that total production of integral bodies for 61 was well over 80 percent of total production.

By the mid 62 model year they were a failure and ford started to retool for the 64 model year.

With the august 62 build it should actually be a 63 model year. where is the warranty tag located?

61 62 are attached to the inside of the glove box
63 is attached to the drivers door.

Paint code for 63 T is sandshell beige. ( I may be wrong as i dont have the book in front of me)

Well the auction was today and i couldnt let the pickup go so i bought it back. Just one more project to add to the list.
