I might suggest a couple of 3/4 truck view shots, taken in the morning or evening in the summer,the sky being slightly overcast without shade around the truck(have a look at my Mustang photo).
Or,possibly at a gas station or near a gate to a ranch or farm.
You obviously know what Bright Sunshine can do to the paint when photographed.
A nice light yellow background of a field in average sunlight will look great.
Also,a slightly red sunset just starting to form looks good as a background with your truck Highlighted in the foreground.
