I pushed this last night after my truck died thinkin it would help, haha. i've drove it 4 miles since then and now it won't even run for 3 seconds w/ out blowin my PCM fuse and the fuel reset button is still in the down position....isn't it supposed to "POP" back out ?
My understanding of the fuel reset switch is that if you are in a collision over X miles per hour and you hit, it resets to stop fuel from being pumped after an accident, it is not a fuse, you may have a power problem that is blowing the fuse, but that would not have anything to do with the fuel reset switch.
I figured that but the switch was in the up position, I pushed it down.....I think it should come back up....it hasn't yet.
My truck is a 99 F-250 V-10. I keep blowing the 30amp fuse under the dash in the fuse panel. I leave the cover off and watch it blow. I can start the truck if I turn the key quick but it'll blow the fuse and die 2 seconds after it passes the key on position. If I just turn it to key on w/ out starting it it blows it 2 seconds later.
Well it was up after it died the first time and blew my fuse....I pushed it down and it's still down although it's still blowin the PCM fuse. Thanks for the clarafication.
