turbo part number?
i have a 2005 f250 and think im having a sticky vane problem,it blew the end tank off the intercooler,it seems to overboost all the time 34 pounds of boost,wont shift untill you let off and let it fart off the boost,somtimes it will not take off it just gets the turbo real hot,have to start off slow and try to get it to spool up,any way i was looking on the turbo and found numbers#1854480c91 but they dont seem to match up with anyting i have seen on here.truck has less then 10k.any help would be greatly appreciated,thanks eric

yeah, its overboosting. It gets a little spooky after 30 psi. You shouldnt have any more than 29. The vanes are probably stuck. If you are buds with anyone at your dealership, they can use the wds to attempt to free them. Use data logger--rpm,vgtdc pids--ramp up the rpms to 1500--move vgtdc from 0% to 85% several times. If this doesnt fix it, you probably need a turbo.If you have had the latest reflash, you may also have a "surge" or "hunting" feel. This is the pcm attempting to break free the vanes.
