I have a 99' F250 7.3. The engine will turn over, but it will not start. The wait light is not coming on. Anyone run into this problem? I had one guy tell me he thought it was the fuel heater.
I had the same problem. It turns out that the 7.3 has same recurring problem (Camshaft Sensor). They typically should go around 120 K but mine lasted to 147K.
The part is about 170.00 from ford or about 300.00 installed by a reputable mechanic.
Good Luck

U can get one from the IHC dealer for $100 or online for $100. About 20minutes to install with 10mm deep socket.

Hold on guys.....
No wait to start light is most likely a shorted fuel heater. Check the fuses under the hood, if one of them is blown, disconnect the plug on the back of the fuel filter housing, and try another fuse.

I was just about to hit REPLY and post this when I scroll one post further and see Dan's post.
No WTS light means the PCM isn't getting power... and the fuel heater shorting blows fuse #30, which is also protecting the PCM. Sooo.... check fuse #30... it's a 30amp, and I'll betcha it's blown. I hope I'm remembering the number right... check all the fuses just in case.
All fuses checked OK. I had a guy check it with a scanner. He said it looked like the fuel heater has shorted out. I am going to have to go through the wiring to see if any are bare.
If the fuel heater shorted, it would blow fuse #30 IIRC, which I believe is under the panel under the dash, so check those if you haven't yet. Did you check those fuses or just the ones under the hood? It's a 30 amp fuse.... protects the fuel heater, PCM (which causes the no-start and no WTS light), and a few other things.
