inspection help

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Mar-02 AT 09:33 PM (EST)]My tags on my 68 f100 went bad january 1st. I have been driving ever since, about every day and yet to have been caught. I have finally decided to get it inspected. Do emmision laws apply to me? What do i have to worry about? I think one think i have to fix is my rear license plate light. the wire came out and the bulb fell out. So i gotta get a new one. Also Do you all think it would matter if i have a 1/2 inch hole in about 3 inches from the tip of my exhuast, i have dual straight pipes comming out. Hahahah right after inspection i plan on taking my pipes off completely and run open headers...

Oh yea, i Live in Virginia Beach VA 23455.. if that helps. thanks

In Arizona the cutoff for avoidance of the EPA stuff is 1966 so anything 67 or newer must pass the emissions test. I believe this is a federal standard. Just make sure your truck is in tune, good PCV valve, no vacuum leaks and so on (took me two tries).

I wouldn't think the hole in your tail pipe would be a concern. Regarding safety equipment, this varies from state to state.
