Had some low life break into my 77 F-250 super cab last night, bent the passenger side vent mechanism, then went to drivers side and smashed that vent glass to get in and unlock the door.
Do I have to take the whole assy out to change glass or can I take the locking mechanism out somehow and slide new glass or plexi in.
Pisses me off too as the drivers side one is the one where the certification sticker is for my propane side of fuel system.
I run dual fuel, but to get filled with propane it needs the sticker and the window is smashed and only the sticker is holding the little pieces in, so now will have to pay to have another certification sticker put on the new window.
The label is still attached to the glass, but the glass is all in a million pieces, the sticker is holding that piece together, so not sure if I can do anything with it.
remove all the little pieces and the seal
get a replacement glass without the seal
use black silicone in the grove and insert the glass to
bed it in the silicone
let it cure for 24 hours
