No leveling kit for me

Okay, had her loaded up this weekend. I have to say that the a$$ up look will be staying with this particular truck. I had 2 trips to the stone yard this weekend, 1500 lbs. and 2100 lbs. of crushed stone. The second load put her just below level, but the 1500 was fairly level. I can't imagine how low this thing would've been had I installed a rear leveling kit like I planned. Not that I move that kind of material often, but this weekend made up my mind. Just my 2 cents worth.

I agree. I added a 3" Skyjacker Lift to my FX4 but I still added the rear add-a-leaf. I wanted to keep the same basic factory rake angle but with the added height. I am very happy with my set-up.

Sweet truck CMOS! It has an oh-so-noticeable rake to it, but the lift looks good. Just curious, how's that oil valve thingy work for ya?

Re,

Never get a drop of oil on my hands when I do a change with the Fumoto valve. Great product.

i was honestly thinking about lowering the rear in mine, but after hooking a trailer up to it for the first time, that kinda changed my mind (and pretty quickly i should add)

I haul a small (5x8) cargo trailer with mine, often loaded with around a half ton. It doesn't seem to drop the rear more than half an inch, but I won't be adding a leveling kit even though I considered it at first.

I like the looks of the infamous "rake" after getting used to it.

I also like the rake of the truck and figure with everyone getting leveling kits put on their truck eventually mine will have it's own original look.

i need the rake as well, when i load the back up with my surface cleaner and 500 feet of garden hose, then hook onto my 5500 lb pressure washing trailer, she sits just about level, i like the looks of a leveled truck, but i dont wantt the nose to be sticking up in the air when iim loaded

cmos, are you not worried about your front suspension parts wearing out prematurely? how much stiffer did the rear aal make the truck?

Kubota,

I don't feel any difference in the rear. There may be some, but it's not enough for me to notice. No, I'm not worried about the fron suspension wearing out. It's the same rake as the factory suspension.

im talking about the steeper angles on the cv joints as the tre's, i thought the skyjacker kit just used taller coils to lift and didnt come with and provisions to lower everything to bring things back to factory angles???

That is correct. Word from them and others that have the kit is that no issues have been witnessed. We shall see. Only time will tell.

Oh man I love your truck. I guess in a couple of years when I trade mine in I know what to get. What options are those. I see 4x4, extended cab, flow thru console, sunroof and leather. Is there a package to get the leather and flow thru console? Back on topic I too like the look of the truck. I wasn't sure at first but I love it now.
