When I asked if I couldn't program the key myself, I was told you need 3 keys to program them yourself. I know that 2 used to be the magic number of keys needed. Has this changed with late models. I wanted to call them lying SOB's , but wasn't sure of my facts.

BTW, it was Champion Ford on the Katy Frwy, Katy Tx.
Three keys. I think he was trying to say you'll need two already programmed keys and a third key to program.

Talking Dealer programming PATS Keys

Thanks for last reply that's worth a try to see If they will bundle the labor like that. I guess once the code is set on their machine it's ready for multiple burns ?

I dont want to Advertize but have to say I Bid on a Pay it now offer on
? Bay Saturday and got The keys Today (Monday) excellent service !!

The seller is In Charlotte NC and I'm only a few hours away, but it still demonstrates some great commitment. They look Great! and came with the instructions (if you have the dual keys - or single key for earlier Fords) Now on to the key cutter then the dealer.
BTW
Another dealer that was e-mailed near my work responded with a $67 quote for the same single PATS key programming for pre cut key, so who knows how they figure the labor rate and time. They mentioned they would need the truck for an hour

If your going to have a locksmith cut the keys why go to the dealer to have one of them programmed? Why not have the locksmith program it for you?
