hey lew,i don't think they are reproduced but, try salvage yards .i am a 67'\72 man but hate to say that alot of 67'\72 were trashed out in the last 32 years because of cab mount rot.and you see alot of trailers made out of 'em.it's because of structural rot.those gates are not hard to find though at least in my area i have a few but all have rust on the low right side? that's an easy fix though. post on the classifieds.sombody's gotta have a good one.oleblue=

damn! 495 for one of those gaits?i must be doin' all right then, i could come up with at least five more in good shape for a case of PBR.old fords are plentiful in n\c kansas.i bought a 70' f100 that fell off a cattle crossing in 75 and sat in a shed ever since. body was perfecto with no title for 75 bucks! keep lookin' before you buy a repro gait. that's crazy.oleblue=

im in pa. can you really get a gate for these years easily? if so let me know, id find a way to get it from you. even if i have to drive my 71 down there to pick it up, here they are scarce and when you find one its wrecked. the good salvage yards here are picked clean, trust me, i know, i helped in making them that way,

mockey, don't do anything foolish like driving a 71 pickup out there for a tailgate. Go in a semi with a 53 ft. flatbed. Just visit Carlisle, or Hershey, and find out just how much your neighbors will pay for junk. I was at the all truck at Carlisle in 98, and just couldn't get over the junk offered for sale there. We would pick over pieces like that here.

carlisle,its like my summer, home i visit at least four times a year.when i bought my 71 it needed a grille, and having all the resto catalogs i can get for these trucks they dont offer my grille inserts, or my radio delete cover, or even a radio mount, but my brother in law,one of his friends,(the friend has a 71 chevy ,yuk)and i, took the early morning trek, its only about an hour drive for us.(chevys suck) and in my searching the grounds i managed to find the grille inserts $25pr.w/chrome, sliding rear window $100, new door seals $75, rear window seal $45, & other misc. odds & ends ie.rr,side-marker lense $1 , (oh by the way did i mention that chevys suck) if you cant find it at carlisle it probably doesnt exist. hope to get to hershey this year ,never been to that showand i live closer to there than carlisle, go figure, but a gate is my next problem, and if i can get one cheap down south im there, you know what i mean....

how much do you want for the cover oleblue? my truck didnt come with a radio, previous owner installed one w/the correct radio mt. but i took it out (junky radio)im not doing a correct resto on the truck im doing it my may, im putting a headliner w/radio mt in it in the truck spkrs.and radio will be in the headliner.
