1971 360 motor carburetor

I cannot seem to find a carburetor for my motor. It is a 1971 360 with a two barrel. Is there a universal bolt on available without having to do a new intake and 4 barrel ?

That's a fairly common carb, lots of them around. If you can't find one locally you should be able to find one on ebay. Those carbs are pretty common though, just might have to look around a little harder. If your carb is acting up, they are really fairly easy to rebuild. But I'd make another trip to the salvage yard, check Ford cars as well as trucks. It is also the same carb used on Jeep V-8s as well.

Are you looking for something that will just work on that engine ?
or are you looking for something that is dated Original for that engine ?

If it's the first one, they are many carbs from many engines that would work.
For instance ford used the same carb on the :
292,302,330,352,360,390
from 1963-1974

But that doesn't mean you can't use a carb from
1974-1985

I recommend using a two barrel from Holley (model 2300). They offer them in 350 CFM and 500 CFM. Both bolt right with no mods. If you're keeping the engine stock or close to it, go with the 350 CFM. I went with the 500 CFM and found myself tuning it down a couple of notches. Go to Holley's web site (www.holley.com) so you can compare the two and then search for them by part number at any local or online speed shop.

You can use any 67-up 2 bbl carb from any 352/360/390 or 351m/400. The small block carb has smaller venturis. Look for a number cast on the left side of the float bowl-ie 1.12 or higher.
